A free, all-in-one percentage calculator for everyday Nepali use: work out X% of a number, find what percent one number is of another, measure a percentage increase or decrease, and add or subtract a percentage such as 13% VAT or a shop discount. Pick a mode, type your numbers, and the answer with a plain-language explanation appears instantly — everything runs in your browser and nothing is sent to any server.
Percentage simply means "per hundred": X% of a value Y is (X ÷ 100) × Y. This tool wraps the four calculations people actually need — from checking a Dashain sale discount and adding VAT to an invoice to converting exam marks into a percentage — into one clean calculator.
| You want | Mode | Example | Answer |
|---|---|---|---|
| 13% VAT on रु 1,500 | X% of Y | 13% of 1500 | रु 195 (total रु 1,695) |
| Marks 45 out of 60 as % | X is what % of Y | 45 of 60 | 75% |
| Price rose 200 → 250 | % increase | old 200, new 250 | +25% |
| 20% discount on रु 1,000 | Add/subtract % | 1000 − 20% | रु 800 |
1. Choose the mode that matches your question — कतिको कति %, कति % हो, % वृद्धि/कमी, or % थप/घटाउ.
2. Type the two numbers. For VAT or a discount, also choose whether to add or subtract.
3. The result and a short Nepali explanation update as you type. For an increase/decrease, the answer is coloured green for up and red for down.
Nothing you type is uploaded — the calculation happens entirely on your device.
X% of Y = (X ÷ 100) × Y. X is what % of Y = (X ÷ Y) × 100. % change = ((new − old) ÷ old) × 100. Add P% = Y × (1 + P/100); subtract P% = Y × (1 − P/100).
Turn a GPA into a percentage or the other way round with the GPA Calculator, solve full equations step by step in the Math Solver, crunch trigonometry and powers in the Scientific Calculator, or plan a loan with the Loan Calculator. See everything on the Nepali Tools page.
Multiply the number by the percentage and divide by 100. For example, 13% of 1,500 = (13 ÷ 100) × 1,500 = 195. Use the "X% of Y" mode and the tool does it instantly.
Divide the marks obtained by the full marks and multiply by 100. Scoring 45 out of 60 is (45 ÷ 60) × 100 = 75%. Use the "X is what % of Y" mode.
Use the "% थप/घटाउ" mode, enter the amount, set 13% and choose "थप्ने". रु 1,500 + 13% VAT = रु 1,695. Choose "घटाउने" instead to apply a discount.
Percentage change = ((new value − old value) ÷ old value) × 100. Going from 200 to 250 is a +25% increase; from 250 to 200 is a −20% decrease.
No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to or stored on any server.
