1. Close large downloads, streaming and torrents on all devices — they share your bandwidth and lower the result.
2. Press Start Test. The tool first measures ping and jitter, then download, then upload.
3. For the speed your ISP promises, test on a wired/Ethernet or 5 GHz WiFi connection close to the router — weak WiFi is the most common reason for low results.
4. Run it 2–3 times at different hours; evening congestion (7–10 PM) is normal on shared networks.
Download (Mbps) — how fast data reaches you: streaming, browsing, downloading. Upload (Mbps) — how fast you send data: video calls, uploading to YouTube/TikTok, sending files. Ping (ms) — the round-trip time to the server; lower is better, and it matters most for gaming and video calls. Jitter (ms) — how much the ping fluctuates; high jitter causes choppy calls even when speed is high.

Every speed test measures the path between you and that test's server. Different servers, routes and measurement methods give slightly different numbers — a 5–15% difference is normal. This test uses Cloudflare's server in Kathmandu, which reflects real-world performance to websites served from Nepal's nearest internet exchange.
The most common causes: testing over weak WiFi (test near the router or use a cable), other devices using the connection, evening network congestion, or a router that can't handle fibre speeds. ISP plans are also "up to" speeds shared among subscribers.
To a Kathmandu server, fibre connections typically get 3–15 ms, which is excellent. Gaming on Indian servers usually adds 30–60 ms, and European/American servers 150–300 ms — that part depends on geography, not your ISP's speed.
Yes — a full test transfers roughly 50–300 MB depending on your speed (faster connections transfer more to measure accurately). On a limited mobile data plan, use it sparingly.
