Preeti is the most widely used traditional Nepali font — the "Times New Roman" of Devanagari typing in Nepal. It is a legacy TrueType font that maps Nepali letter shapes onto ordinary English keyboard keys, so typing g]kfn with the Preeti font installed displays as नेपाल. For decades it has been the standard for Nepali newspapers, government offices, printing presses and school documents, and it is still required by design and publishing software such as Photoshop, InDesign, PageMaker and CorelDRAW.

How to install Preeti font on Windows
- Click Download Preeti Font above and save the ZIP file.
- Right-click the downloaded ZIP and choose Extract All to get the Preeti.ttf file.
- Right-click Preeti.ttf and select Install (or Install for all users). On older Windows you can also copy it into
C:\Windows\Fonts.
- Restart Microsoft Word or your app, then choose Preeti from the font list and start typing.
