Nepali Docs is a free online word processor made for writing in Nepali. Write letters, applications (निवेदन), essays, news copy, assignments and office documents in नेपाली युनिकोड — straight in your browser, with no software to install and no sign-up. Everything you type is saved automatically in your browser, so your document is right where you left it even after closing the tab.
Two ways to write, built into the same page: type in Roman (write namaste, press Space, get नमस्ते) or speak with voice typing — tap the mic and dictate in Nepali or English. Format your document with headings, bold, lists, colors and alignment, then download it as a Word file, print it, or copy the text anywhere.
Write in Nepali easily: Roman typing converts every word as you press Space — no Nepali keyboard needed. Press Esc to keep a word in English, or Ctrl+G to switch typing language.
Voice typing: Tap the mic and speak — works in both Nepali and English (switch with the EN/नेपाली toggle). Say «पूर्ण विराम» for ।, «नयाँ लाइन» for a new line.
Format like a word processor: Headings (H1–H3), bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, text color, highlight, bullet and numbered lists, text alignment, undo/redo.
Insert today's Nepali date: One click adds the current Bikram Sambat date — handy for letters and applications.
Save and share: Download as a Word (.docx) file that opens in MS Word, Google Docs and LibreOffice; download as plain .txt; print directly (only the document prints, nothing else); or copy all the text.
Yes. Your document lives only in your own browser (localStorage) — nothing is uploaded to our servers. Voice typing audio is processed by your browser's speech service in real time and is not stored. Clearing your browser data will remove the saved document, so download a copy of anything important.
Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge for voice typing (other browsers can still type in Roman). For official documents, insert the Nepali date, write your content, then use Print for a clean printout or Download Word to send the file. The document keeps standard Nepali Unicode, so the text works everywhere — email, Facebook, government portals and office software. If you need Preeti font output for design software, paste your text into our Unicode to Preeti converter.
